Thieves stole jewelery worth lakhs from wedding house, case registered
Rewari. The terror of thieves is increasing day by day, where apart from targeting closed houses, thieves have also started targeting wedding ceremonies. In one such incident in Rewari district, thieves made away with jewelery worth lakhs. The complainant told that he lives in Vikas Nagar, Rewari.
He works in the railway office. His daughter was about to get married, so he had booked Park Vosela Hotel on Delhi-Jaipur Highway for two days for the wedding. His room was on the first floor of the hotel. Jewelery and cash were kept in the same room.
It is being told that the wedding preparations were going on when the thieves attacked the hotel room located on the first floor and entered the hotel room by breaking the window glass from behind.
After this, the thieves stole other items including jewelery and cash from the bag kept in the hotel room. When the thieves were leaving after stealing, the family members caught sight of them and chased them, but despite chasing them for a long distance, they could not catch them. The thieves made away with the bride’s jewelery worth Rs 10 lakh from the bag kept in the room. The thieves also made away with the cash. At present the police is busy investigating the matter.
