Engineer absconds after murder, stir in government department

Korba. The Chief Engineer posted in the Irrigation Department was beaten to death by another engineer living in his neighbourhood. The incident took place late on Thursday night in Paash Colony Pawar Heights of the city. The incident has created a stir in the colony. The accused has absconded after committing the crime.
Police reached the spot and started investigating the case. According to the information, Rajesh Dhawankar, posted as Chief Engineer in the Irrigation Department, resides with his family in house number 304 of Pawar Heights, Paash Colony of the city.

Dharmendra Verma, an engineer working in a private company, also lives with his family in house number 303 in the same colony. According to the information received from police sources, Rajesh Dhawankar, under the influence of alcohol, had abused his neighbor Dharmendra Verma a week ago, due to which there was a heated argument between the two.

On Thursday night at around 9 pm, there was another altercation between Rajesh Dhawankar and Dharmendra Verma, after which Dharmendra Verma beat Rajesh Dhawankar severely. After this incident, other people of the colony took Rajesh Dhawankar to the hospital where the doctors declared him dead. As soon as information about the incident was received, top police officers reached the spot with the team. On the other hand, Dharmendra Verma has absconded from the spot after the incident and the police is actively searching for him.
