December 3 declared dry day, Collector issued order
Raigarh: Collector and District Election Officer Karthikeya Goyal, using the powers granted under the section of Chhattisgarh Excise Act, has ordered the counting of votes under Assembly General Election-2023 on the date of 3rd December 2023, Sunday – the country liquor shops operated under the Municipal Corporation Raigarh, the counting venue area. S-2 DD), composite liquor shops (CS-2 DD Composite), foreign liquor shops (FL-1 DD), hotel bars (FL-3) and storage warehouses will be completely closed. It has been declared a dry day to remain closed. Sale of liquor will be completely banned during the said dry day.
According to the information received from the Excise Department, orders have been issued to keep liquor shops closed on dry days. These include Chakradhar Nagar, Bade Rampur, Savitri Nagar, Boirdadar, Kodhipara, Composite Badpara and Composite Mutton Market under country liquor shop. Similarly, foreign liquor shops include Chakradhar Nagar, Bade Rampur, Savitri Nagar, Boirdadar, Kodhipara, Jute Mill, Vijaypur and Premium MDU Kewarabari. In FL-3 hotel bars, Keki Bar, Raigarh, Kinara Bar, Trinity Bar, Hotel Grand Raigarh, Hotel Ansh International, Raigarh and Accord Chain of Hotels Raigarh will remain closed.
