Ashok Gehlot congratulated Congress candidates
Rajasthan : Ashok Gehlot has resigned from the post of Chief Minister after BJP’s victory in Rajasthan Assembly. After his resignation, Ashok Gehlot has congratulated the candidates of all the assembly seats of his Congress. He has said that – I hope that all of you will do the work of taking forward the policy, ideology and principles of the Congress Party and will work for the interests of the people of Rajasthan. Will play the role of a strong opposition to protect the country.
Prime Minister Ashok Gehlot resigned on Sunday after Congress’s defeat in Rajasthan Assembly elections. Mr Gehlot reached Raj Bhavan on Sunday evening and submitted his resignation from the post of Chief Minister to Governor Kalraj Mishra. In a statement issued by Governor Raj Bhavan, it was said that Governor Mishra has accepted his resignation.
He has been asked to remain in the post till the formation of the new government in the state. It is noteworthy that in this state, 199 out of 200 seats were won in the assembly elections. The results came on Sunday. BJP won majority with 106 seats. Till 6:45 pm, candidates of this party are leading on 9 seats. So the total number seems to be reaching 115. At the same time, Parliament seems to be limited to 69 seats. This candidate has won 60 seats and is leading on 9 seats.
