Chhattisgarh’s record broken, Brijmohan Agarwal won with maximum votes
Raipur : Senior BJP leader Brijmohan Aggarwal has won the assembly elections by the maximum number of 67 thousand 815 votes. He has achieved the biggest victory so far in the state. This has given a crushing defeat to Ramsundar Das of Congress in Brijmohan from Raipur South seat. Whereas BJP candidate from Kanker Asharam Netam has defeated Congress’s Shankar Dhurva Netam by just 16 votes. On the other hand, Deputy Chief Minister TS Singhdev lost from Ambikapur seat by just 94 votes. Former CM and BJP candidate Raman Singh has won from Rajnandgaon. He defeated Congress’s Girish Dewangan by 44,705 votes. Singh got 1,01,414 votes, while Dewangan got 56,709 votes.
Independent candidate Makhan Yadav stood third on this seat. He has got 1,034 votes. The ruling Congress party in Chhattisgarh has faced a massive defeat in the election results. Many senior leaders and ministers of the party have lost the elections. In this sequence, state Deputy CM and veteran Congress leader TS Singh Deo has lost the election from Ambikapur seat. In a close contest, Singh Dev lost by just 94 votes. Singh Dev has been defeated by BJP candidate Rajesh Aggarwal. After the results, recounting took place once again but Singh Dev has lost. However, complete vote figures have not been released yet. According to the information available on the Election Commission website, till the 17th round of counting, TS Singh Deo was trailing by about 4000 votes. Let us tell you that there are 90 assembly seats in Chhattisgarh and voting was held here in two phases on 7 and 17 November. More than 1 crore 55 lakh voters exercised their franchise here.
