Newly elected BRS MLAs meet KCR
Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) President and Union Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao congratulated the newly elected party MLAs and appreciated the hard work of all the party leaders during the assembly elections. He directed party MLAs to visit him at his farm at Erravelli near Hyderabad on Monday.
The MLAs also appreciated him for providing them the opportunity to serve the people of Telangana and promised to continue strengthening the party. Earlier, BRS acting president KT Rama Rao called a meeting with newly elected BRS MLAs at the party seat at Telangana Bhavan. He was congratulated on his victory and people were also congratulated at the party headquarters Telangana Bhawan and party district offices. He informed that an extended meeting of elected representatives of BRS, including MLAs, MLCs and MPs, will be held soon to introspect on the reasons for the party’s defeat and decide the future course of action. The same dates will be finalized and announced soon.
Speaking on the occasion, Rama Rao said that the BRS government launched various welfare and development programs in the last decade. “Because the people had given the mandate to the other party, we gave respectable strength to fight in their name in the Assembly. We must perform our duties as a responsible opposition”, he said.
Rama Rao said that after the elections there was an overwhelmingly positive response from the people in support of the BRS leadership. Let us tell you that people from all walks of life were sending messages saying that they had never thought that BRS would lose the elections. “Just as we were available to people at the Secretariat and Pragati Bhawan during the last decade, now all MLAs should be available at the party headquarters,” he said.
Kavitha and other senior leaders of MLC also attended the meeting.
Meanwhile, there was confusion in the MLAs’ meeting due to the absence of Medchal MLA CH Malla Reddy, Malkajgiri MLA Mary Rajasekhara Reddy and LB Nagar MLA D Sudheer Reddy. Malla Reddy told journalists that he did not attend the meeting due to lack of communication during the meeting. However, his personal alerted him about the message received on his mobile phone, after which he started marching, only to be informed that the meeting was over and headed towards Erravelli. Immediately, the three MLAs joined their colleagues for a meeting with Chandrashekhar Rao at Erraveli.
