Hardoi (Uttar Pradesh): A woman who had gone to the market was beaten up by herdsmen in Hardoi. When she intervened, her brother and husband were also beaten. Due to which the victims suffered serious injuries. Since the incident took place between two communities, the police became active. At present, the police have registered the case and started investigation. The entire controversy arose from social media.
It is alleged that a youth from another community of the village had made obscene comments on the Instagram account of a woman belonging to a particular class. Which the woman had opposed. A complaint was also made to his family about his actions. He was unhappy with this. Meanwhile, the woman had come to her in-laws’ house from her maternal home. When she went out to the market with her sister, brother and husband, the young man attacked her. According to the victim, the man who made obscene comments on Instagram had also molested her in the market. On protesting, he along with his friends beat him with kicks, punches and sticks. Not only this, the woman’s brother and husband who came to save her were also beaten fiercely.
According to the victim, even after complaining to the police, no action was taken. After the attack, she again reached the SP office with her family and demanded justice in the case from the officials. At present, ASP East Nripendra Kumar has ordered the local police to take action.
The victim woman from Madhauganj area alleges that three months ago, Shyamji from the same village had made obscene and indecent comments on her Instagram account. About which he had complained to the young man’s family. After this, a compromise was reached in the entire matter. But yesterday when she had gone to the market with her sister, on the way Shyamji along with his friends Ramji, Jitendra and Golu stopped her. They started teasing. When they protested, they resorted to violence. In this case, the Additional Superintendent of Police said that there was a dispute between two parties regarding an indecent post on Instagram. Allegations of assault have been made. Complaint has been registered. Is being investigated. There are injury marks on the body of the complainant. Medical is being done.
