Traders add salt to chicken prices to celebrate Congress victory
Khammam: A chicken trader in Penubali mandal of Khammam district sold chicken at low prices to celebrate the victory of Congress leaders in the assembly elections. Narukulla Raghava Rao, a businessman, runs Pollardiya in Karaigudem in the mandal. Dijo was a Congress fan and wanted to celebrate the victory of party candidates Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, Tummala Nageswara Rao and Matta Ragamai in a different way in Palayer, Khammam and Sathupalli assembly elections. Sold chicken at Rs 120 per kg on Tuesday and Wednesday. There were about 300 families in the village. Residents of the pueblo and surrounding areas flocked to his shop to buy chicken, which sold for between P150 and P160 per kilogram in other stores. He used to sell an average of four quintals of chicken a day.
