Ganja worth Rs 51 lakh seized from expensive cars, 4 smugglers arrested
Gaurela pendra Marwahi. Police action against drugs is continuing in Chhattisgarh. In this series, Gaurel police has arrested 4 smugglers of inter-state gang while smuggling 160 kg of ganja drug. Police is taking action against all the accused under the Narcotics Act.
According to the information, Gaurela police got information from the informer that some people were going from Orissa to Anuppur in Madhya Pradesh via Bilaspur-Ratanpur with huge quantity of ganja.
After the information of the informer, Gaurela police station and cyber team set up a blockade near Khodri Tiraha, stopped the vehicles CG 04 AQ 8105 Renault Triber and CG 13 AB 5967 Brezza car coming from Bilaspur side and searched them. During the search, police recovered 60 kg of ganja in one car and 100 kg of ganja in another car.
According to Gaurela police, the four arrested accused are residents of Madhya Pradesh. Among the accused, Vishwanath Rathore, age 30, police station Amgaon, Jaithari district, Anuppur, Sonu Rathore, age 24, village Patan post Gorsi, police station Jaithari, Anuppur, Pradeep Patel, age 32, behind Senduri Chhulha railway station, police station Anuppur, Kishan Patel, age 21, near Semra Patel Dhaba, Jaisinghnagar. District Shahdol Madhya Pradesh is included. Police have seized 160 kg of ganja, 2 cars, 5 mobiles from the accused, the estimated value of which is estimated at Rs 51 lakh 50 thousand.
