A cache of intoxicating capsules was found in the ambulance, two youths were supplying it secretly

Raigarh (CG): Under the guidance of Senior Superintendent of Police Sadanand Kumar and guidance of Additional SP Sanjay Mahadeva, police action is going on against drug dealers. In this series, Tamnar Police, through accurate information system, has arrested two accused along with the consignment of drugs which was being brought from Raigarh to Tamnar in an ambulance vehicle. The market value of 629 tablets (capsules) of two different companies recovered from the possession of the accused is ₹ 5,259. According to the information, sale of seized medicines without doctor’s prescription is prohibited and a large consignment of these medicines has been recovered from the accused. Tamnar police have arrested both the accused for the offense of NDPS Act and sent them on remand.

Earlier also action has been taken against illegal sale of such intoxicating capsules in Tamnar, Gharghoda and Lailunga areas. SDOP Dharamjaygarh Deepak Mishra has appointed informers to keep an eye on the buying and selling of banned drugs and their illegal sale. Recently, their active informer informed about the sale of intoxicating tablets (capsules) by two youths in Tamnar area and surrounding areas.

On information received by SDOP Dharamjaigarh on the instructions of TI Tamnar, station in-charge Tamnar Inspector Ashirwad Rahatgaonkar had appointed his informers and staff in the area to keep an eye on smugglers that yesterday night of 23/10/20, TI Tamnar received informer information that Two persons were going from Raigarh side towards Hamirpur, Dholnara via Dhaurabhaantha by hiding banned intoxicating tablets in ambulance vehicle number MH 49 C 0032. Immediately TI Tamnar along with Hamrah staff cordoned off the main road Hamirpur and caught the suspicious ambulance vehicle. The two persons sitting in it were reluctant to reveal their names, after strictly interrogating both of them, the person sitting in the driver’s seat revealed his name as Akshay Gupta, father Jitendra Gupta, age 25 years. Jaridih police station, Tamnar district and the person sitting in the seat next to the driver, his name is 01. Sandeep Chauhan, father, Mahettar Chauhan, age 24 years. Reported to be from Urba Darripara police station, Tamnar district, Raigarh, during search, 529 nos. of intoxicating tablets (capsules) were recovered from Sandeep Chauhan and 10 leaves from driver Akshay Gupta, 10-10 tablets in each leaf, total 100 nos. tablets, total Jumla 629 nos. tablets ( Capsule), worth Rs 5,269 has been seized. The accused did not have any bill or doctor’s slip regarding the transportation of banned intoxicating tablets. Tamnar police seized the ambulance vehicle number MH 49 C 0032 and banned intoxicating drugs and filed a case under section 21( C) The accused have been sent on remand after taking action under NDPS ACT.
