A case of culpable homicide has been registered against the person
Chandigarh: Police has arrested a person on charges of culpable homicide. A woman from Sector 28 alleged that her brother-in-law Paras, a resident of Nepal, had a fight with her husband Tilak Ram (41) on January 13. Tilak suffered injuries and was admitted to the Government Medical College and Hospital. Sector 32, where he died. Police have arrested Paras by registering a case under section 304 of IPC in Sector 26 police station.

Chandigarh: Two men riding a motorcycle snatched a mobile phone, Rs 1,000 cash and Aadhaar card from Govindan, a native of Chennai, near Rock Garden. On the complaint of Govindan, the police have registered a case in Sector 3 police station and started investigation.
A person arrested with a knife
Police has arrested a person resident of Panchkula with a knife. Police said the suspect, Kaushal (19), was arrested from Mauli Jagran. A case has been registered against him under the Arms Act at Maulijagran police station.
Mohali Academy won by 7 wickets
Shambhav Sharma’s innings of 94 went in vain as Nagesh Academy, Zirakpur suffered a seven-wicket defeat against Satguru Cricket Academy, Mohali in the inaugural match of the Sapins-32 (Under-14) Cricket Championship.
