A gathering of gamblers was organized at councillor’s house, police raided it

Raigarh. Jutmil Police and Cyber Cell team, on the information of an informer, conducted a raid on a gambling den and caught 10 gamblers. Apart from lakhs of rupees involved in gambling, playing cards have been seized and Gambling Act action has been taken against 10 people.

According to the information received in this regard, at around 12 o’clock on Saturday night, the police team of Jutmil police station received information from the informer that gambling was going on in a locality of Jutmil area. Based on the information, the police team of Jutmil police station reached the spot along with the cyber cell, where gamblers were gambling at the house of a Congress councilor Rathu Jaiswal by arranging a gathering. Meanwhile, the police suddenly conducted a raid and arrested 10 people. The police seized approximately Rs 1 lakh 80 thousand in cash and playing cards from the arrested gamblers and took action against the accused under the Gambling Act.
