A peaceful march towards Anna Memorial led by the CM.

Tamil Nadu: A peaceful rally is being held in Chennai, led by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, on the occasion of the death anniversary of former Chief Minister Periyar Anna.

Anna Remembrance Day is being observed across Tamil Nadu today.

Earlier, Chief Minister Stalin paid tribute to Periyar Anna by garlanding his statue on Wallajah Road.

From there, DMK members, led by Chief Minister Stalin, are participating in a peaceful march towards the Anna Memorial.

The rally will proceed from the Periyar Anna statue on Wallajah Road to the Anna Memorial on Marina Beach.

On the occasion of Periyar Anna’s death anniversary, Chief Minister Stalin wrote in his X (formerly Twitter) post, “Periyar Anna is the conscience of the Tamils!

Not just on his remembrance day, but every day is a day for us to remember our brother!

The DMK government has ensured that every part of Tamil Nadu named after Anna, such as Anna Salai, Anna statues, Anna flyovers, Anna libraries, and Anna bus stands, remains filled with Anna’s spirit.

Even though they resorted to deceitful tactics like imposing a language, imposing a culture, and creating financial crises, and brought together all the traitors to support them, Anna was driven out of Tamil Nadu due to the arrogance and dominance of the BJP government!

“No matter how many years pass, Anna will continue to rule over Tamil Nadu!” he said.
