A Sikh man shot dead by terrorists in Srinagar
Srinagar: Militants shot dead a worker from Punjab while another was injured in Habba Kadal area of the city on Wednesday, officials said here.
Officials said that Amritpal Singh, a resident of Amritsar, was shot at close range by terrorists with an AK rifle in Shalla Kadal area of Habba Kadal at around 7 pm.

Singh died on the spot, while another non-local worker, Rohit, 25, was injured in the incident, he said.
Rohit is also a resident of Amritsar. He had bullet wounds in his stomach and is undergoing treatment at SMHS hospital here.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and have cordoned off the area to trace the attackers.
This is the first attack by terrorists on a non-local in Kashmir this year.
Last year, terrorists had carried out several attacks on non-local workers in the valley, including in Anantnag and Shopian districts.
