New Delhi. The big news of this time is coming out that on March 26, Aam Aadmi Party will go to surround PM Narendra Modi’s residence in Delhi.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had arrested Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday evening in the Delhi liquor scam case. The ED team had reached Arvind Kejriwal’s residence yesterday evening. After about two hours of interrogation and search at his residence, ED arrested Kejriwal. Hearing of Kejriwal case is starting in PMLA court. At the same time, Kejriwal’s petition against the arrest was also to be heard before a special bench of the Supreme Court. But Kejriwal has withdrawn his petition.
After Kejriwal’s arrest, Delhi government minister Atishi Marlena had said that Kejriwal’s arrest immediately after the announcement of Lok Sabha elections shows that PM Modi is afraid of him. He called the arrest of the Delhi Chief Minister a murder of democracy. Atishi said that Aam Aadmi Party will continue the fight against BJP, we will take to the streets against it. In the Delhi Liquor Policy case, the PMLA court can give its verdict at any time on the remand of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. After 3 hours of hearing, the court has reserved the decision. Earlier, Kejriwal was produced in Rouse Avenue Court at 2 pm on Friday. The hearing started at 2.15 pm and continued till 5.15 pm.
During this time, ED has asked for 10 days remand. Also called CM the mastermind of this matter. Also claimed that many electronic evidences related to this case were deleted. Many phones have been broken. Kejriwal was directly involved in making the Delhi liquor policy. Cash was transferred twice. First Rs 10 crores and then Rs 15 crores were given. Kejriwal wanted funding for Punjab and Goa elections. Rs 45 crore was used in Goa elections. Kejriwal’s lawyer Abhishek Manu Singhvi said that ED has everything, so why was there a need for arrest? 80% people did not mention Kejriwal’s name. He did not even say that he had ever met him. On behalf of ED, Additional Solicitor General (ASG) Raju presented arguments while Arvind Kejriwal’s lawyers Abhishek Manu Singhvi, Vikram Chaudhary and Ramesh Gupta presented their arguments. Meanwhile, opposition leaders met the Election Commission. Kejriwal was arrested from CM House on March 21. His night was spent in the ED lockup.
