Abhishek Banerjee said on playing Bhuvan in ‘Aakhri Sach’, ‘It was a bit disturbing’
New Delhi (IANS). Actor Abhishek Banerjee, who won hearts with his portrayal of Hathoda Tyagi in ‘Paatal Lok’, will now be seen as ‘Bhuvan’ in the upcoming thriller ‘Aakhri Sach’.
One night, one family, many deaths, one investigating officer and many theories… Aakhri Sach is inspired by true events. Inspired by real incidents, the series will delve into the lives of each of the characters, as Tamannaah Bhatia, essaying the role of Chief Investigating Officer Anya, embarks on a mission to unravel the mystery behind the deaths.
Sharing the inner struggles of portraying a complex character, Abhishek said, “I tried to think like him. It was very difficult to rationalize his thoughts in my head, but I had to. It’s scary when I I wonder how easily an actor acts, even his character’s crimes are justified in his mind. But that’s the job.”
He said, “There are many scenes in the climax, especially when everyone was hanging, even after knowing that we were shooting, it was a scary moment for me. I was made aware of the truth. It was a bit overwhelming to experience it. Was troubling.
‘Aakhri Sach’ stars a talented cast including Tamannaah, Abhishek Banerjee, Shivin Narang, Danish Iqbal, Nishu Dixit, Kriti Vij and Sanjeev Chopra.
Produced by Nirvikar Films, directed by Robbie Grewal and written by Sourav Dey, Aakhri Sach will stream on Disney Plus Hotstar from August 25.
On the work front, Abhishek will be seen as Shah Rukh in ‘Dream Girl 2’ starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday. He was last seen in Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon starrer ‘Bhediya’, a comedy horror film directed by Amar Kaushik.
