Account of Gaya Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, NDA Vs INDIA? What do the statistics say?

Every party has geared up for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. While all the parties of the country have united and formed the INDIA alliance to defeat the BJP, the BJP is also preparing vigorously for a hat-trick victory. Bihar also plays an important role in forming the government in the country. Today we will talk about Gaya district of Bihar, which has been reserved for Scheduled Castes for the last 56 years. Let us tell you that even on the Gaya seat reserved for SC, all castes play an important role. On this seat, the votes of backward, extremely backward and forward castes play an important role in the victory or defeat of any candidate.
What is the caste equation of Lok Sabha seat?
Only a few months are left for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, all parties have their eyes on the Lok Sabha elections and 2025 Bihar Assembly elections. If we look at the election results of Gaya Lok Sabha seat in the last few years, it is held only by Mahadalit candidates. Let us tell you that Manjhi community has dominated this seat for the last 25 years. If statistics are to be believed, there are more than 2.5 lakh people of Manjhi caste in Gaya Lok Sabha. Apart from this, the Muslim population here is around 2 lakh, Rajput and Bhumihar voters are around 2.5 lakh, Yadav population is around 2.5 lakh and Vaishya voters are around 2 lakh.

Same family occupies 6 out of 10 seats
Talking about Gaya Assembly seat, it is very interesting. In fact, 6 out of 10 assembly seats here are dominated by the same family, and that too for the last 20-30 years. The public never gave a chance to any other candidate from here. Political parties also do not want to take the risk of betting on any face other than these candidates. That means a candidate has been MLA for about 7 times from one assembly constituency.
Let us tell you that Govindacharya had recommended in a research report regarding clean politics that no MLA or MP should hold the post for more than 10 years. Even if he comes back to power after a gap of a few years, doing so for the sake of clean politics is beneficial for the public. This will also increase accountability.
2019 and 2014 Lok Sabha election results
Despite the Scheduled Castes holding the Gaya Lok Sabha seat, former Chief Minister of Bihar and HAM Party supremo Jitan Ram Manjhi had to face a shameful defeat in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Not only this, Manjhi was also defeated in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections and was at third position. At present, JDU’s Vijay Kumar Manjhi is the MP in Gaya. He had won this victory in the last election while being in NDA. At the same time, now his party has joined the Grand Alliance.
