Accountant arrested for taking bribe of Rs 10 thousand

Farrukhabad. The accountant who demanded a bribe of Rs 10,000 from the farmer for measuring his fields is in trouble. After the farmer’s complaint, the anti-corruption team caught him red-handed. After this the team took the accused Lekhpal to Kadri Gate police station. After this action, panic has spread among other accountants.

The matter is of Daulatpur village of Kayamganj tehsil area. Village resident Netrapal is a farmer. According to him, he had to measure his land for several days. Therefore he was making rounds of the concerned accountant Naresh’s office. According to farmer Netrapal, the accountant asked him for a bribe of Rs 20 thousand in the name of measurement.

Later the matter was settled for Rs 10,000. It is said that the farmer then informed the anti-corruption team. In which the team also reached the spot. After this Netrapal called Lekhpal Naresh to a hotel. It is said that after leaving the tehsil, Lekhpal reached the concerned hotel. As soon as the farmer placed Rs 10,000 as bribe in his hand, the team caught him.

After taking possession of the note, the team rushed to take the accused accountant to Katri Gate police station. Where after the action the team took the accused accountant with them. This action has created panic among other accountants. Let us tell you that this is the third case of taking bribe by Kayamganj Tehsil employees.
