Action on scrap soon, buying stolen goods

Durg. SP Shalabh Kumar Sinha had formed a jumbo team and raided the places of scrap dealers twice in the month of June. Then a large quantity of stolen iron was seized. Now after the arrival of the new SP, scrap dealers have again started openly buying stolen goods. Due to this, incidents of theft have increased in the city.

Most of the people doing scrap business in the district are in Jamul and Supela police station areas. 9 scrapyards are active in Jamul police station and 10 scrapyards are active in Supela police station area. 36 scrap dealers are doing scrap business in the entire district. All of them buy stolen goods. The police have arrested them red-handed many times, but after a few days their black business starts again. However, ASP City Abhishek Jha says that the police will take action on this soon.
