Actor Vijay Rules Out Alliances, TVK to Get Full Majority in Tamil Nadu Polls
The time for the Assembly Elections in Tamil Nadu is approaching. The major parties have already started their election strategies. There is usually a main contest between the DMK and AIADMK parties. But the upcoming elections have become more interesting. This is because popular actor Vijay is entering direct politics for the first time.
Vijay, who founded the Tamilga Vetra Kalagam (TVK) party, is taking steps to topple the ruling DMK. Speaking recently, he gave full clarity on alliances. He announced that he will not ally with the two main national alliances, the NDA and the UPA, in the upcoming elections and will contest the elections independently. He said that his party will emerge as the main political force in the state and will emerge as an alternative to the two traditional opposition parties.
He made it clear that his party will not join any alliance even after the elections. He expressed confidence that he will form the government alone.
