After all, why is the door of Qutub Minar never opened? The iron pillar present here is considered magical

Qutub Minar, a historical monument located in Mehrauli district of Delhi. Qutub Complex, located in the posh area of South Delhi, is included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Site. This minaret, telling the story of the history of Delhi, has been standing here for centuries. If the weather is good then it is very pleasant to visit Qutub Minar. This is the world’s tallest brick tower. It is great to see this in Qutub Complex.
Now if this is such an old tower, then surely some things related to history would also be related to it. Even today we are going to give you similar interesting information about Qutub Minar.
Why is the Kirti Stambh of Qutub Minar considered magical?
Have you seen the movie ‘Cheeni Kum’? In the last scene of this film, Amitabh Bachchan is standing near Kirti Stambh and making a wish. It is shown in that film that if a person holds the diameter of Kirti Stambh between his arms, his wish is fulfilled. Now there is a catch here that you have to do this work by taking your hands behind the back and not from the front. That is, you have to stand with your back to the Kirti Stambh and take both your hands back and join them on the other side of the Kirti Stambh.
Now it is obvious that this is not easy to do, that is why it is linked to vows.
It is believed that this pillar was made in Madhya Pradesh during the time of Chandragupta-II and then it was brought separately to Delhi. It is also believed that it was made to hoist the flag of Vishnu temple, but it was then brought near Qutub Minar. It has been standing for 1600 years, but it does not rust. The diameter of this pillar is 48 cm and the sentences written in it are written in Brahmi script.
Why were the doors of Qutub Minar closed?
You may not know about this, but earlier the doors of Qutub Minar were open and people visiting here could go inside and see the view of Delhi with the help of the windows. But its doors were completely closed after an accident.
An accident took place at Qutub Minar on 4 December 1981. During that time many people had come to see Qutub Minar. About 300-400 people went inside through the door of the tower simultaneously. After this there was a stampede there.
Actually, due to bad weather, the lighting in the stairs failed and according to the report, some boys molested a girl there. The girl started running downwards and a rumor spread in the tower that she was about to fall.
What happened next, people started running towards the door. Light used to come through the windows there, but due to the presence of too many people, the windows were closed.
The doors of Qutub Minar used to open inwards and in such a situation, when there were more people, the doors got closed from inside due to which people could not come out and the rescue workers could not go inside. After this, somehow the people trapped inside were rescued through the emergency door, but by then a lot had happened. About 45 people had died during this period and many people were injured. Most of them were school going children who had come to Qutub Minar for picnic.
After this, the entire system of visiting Qutub Minar was stopped. The injured were treated at a nearby hospital and there was silence here for several days. Even today 4th December is counted as a black day in the history of Qutub Minar.
