After Indore Several Fall Ill In Greater Noida Due To Contaminated Water

Lucknow: People in several states are falling ill due to contaminated drinking water. More than 15 people have died due to contaminated water in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Recently, many people have fallen ill due to contaminated drinking water in Greater Noida, a suburb of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh. (Contaminated Water) On January 6 and 7, six families in Delta 1 Sector area fell ill with symptoms like vomiting, fever and diarrhea. Locals alleged that sewage was overflowing in the C Block and the water was contaminated due to leakage in the drinking water pipelines.

However, Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) officials denied this. They said that there was no sewage in the drinking water supply. They said that the drinking water was tested and found to be clean.

On the other hand, a GNIDA official said that a team of the Water Resources Department visited the affected houses and tested the water samples. However, they said that the samples were clean. The official revealed that there was a supply connection problem in one house and a leakage problem in another house, which were resolved immediately.

However, Gautam Buddha Nagar Chief Medical Officer Narendra Kumar said that a free medical camp was organized in the Delta 1 area on Wednesday. He said that medical tests were conducted on the locals. He explained that seven patients suffering from vomiting and diarrhea were treated.
