AIADMK meeting: Palaniswami gave instructions for activism on social media
Tamil Nadu : General Secretary of All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) Edappadi K. Palaniswami has advised party officials to be more active on social media and immediately highlight the mistakes of the government. He said that in today’s time, political fight has become equally important not only on the ground but also on digital platforms, hence the workers should make effective use of social media.
District-wise consultation meetings are being organized by AIADMK with the aim of strengthening the party organization after the defeat in the assembly elections. In this sequence, an important meeting of Kanchipuram district officials was organized under the chairmanship of Edappadi Palaniswami at the party headquarters in Chennai on Saturday. Officials from Kanchipuram, Uttaramerur and Sriperumbudur assembly constituencies participated in this meeting.
According to AIADMK sources, the reasons for the party’s defeat in the recently held assembly elections were discussed in detail in the meeting. Along with this, various constructive measures were also considered to strengthen the organization and ensure better performance in future. The party leadership also suggested that the workers should strengthen the organization by connecting with the people at the grassroots level.
During the meeting, Edappadi Palaniswami said that social media has become an important weapon among political parties. Giving an example, he said that Thaveka has achieved success in elections by using social media effectively, hence AIADMK workers should also be active on digital platforms in the same way. He clearly said that the mistakes of the government should be immediately conveyed to the public through social media.
Palaniswami also said that Thaweka’s election victory is not permanent and it will not be easy for him to win in the upcoming elections. He also claimed that DMK is the main political rival of AIADMK in Tamil Nadu politics and there will be a direct contest between the two parties.
This meeting is being considered an important step towards organizational restructuring and strategic change of the party. AIADMK is likely to organize similar meetings in more districts in the coming days, in which special emphasis will be laid on the role of workers and digital strategy.
The party leadership believes that the role of social media has become decisive in the modern political environment and on this basis it is necessary to convey the message to the public. A plan to train and activate workers in this direction is also being considered, so that the party can make a strong comeback in the coming elections.
