Air India Express Pilot Suspended After Alleged Assault on Passenger
New Delhi: A pilot attacked a passenger at Delhi airport on Friday. Air India Express has suspended the pilot in this incident. It has said that an investigation will be conducted into the incident. Air India Express has said in its ex-post that it is apologizing for the incident that took place at Delhi airport. Air India said that the attack took place while its pilot was traveling as a passenger on another flight. It said that it condemns the pilot’s behavior. However, the company said in its post that the person concerned is being removed from official duties immediately. They said that appropriate action will be taken after the investigation.
The passenger posted on social media that the pilot had attacked him. He attached a photo of his face covered in blood to the post. The controversy escalated when the pilot also posted a photo. Ankit Dewan was attacked by an Air India Express pilot while he was travelling on a SpiceJet flight. Dewan claimed that Captain Virender Sejwal had stepped in the middle of the boarding queue and was attacked when he tried to block it. He said that the incident took place at the security check line.
