Akhanda 2’s release has been postponed, and fans are uniting to demand a new release date.

Entertainment: The sequel to Balakrishna-Boyapati Srinu’s blockbuster film Akhanda 2 was initially scheduled for release on December 5th, with premieres planned for December 4th. The production house later announced that the film would be postponed to a later date.
No new date has been confirmed yet, leading to a flurry of online speculation, including discussions about Christmas and Sankranthi slots. Meanwhile, fans who were actively campaigning for the December 5th release have now united behind a specific demand. On Sunday evening, NBK fans started trending the hashtag #WeWantAkhanda2OnDec12th on X (formerly Twitter).
Citing the crowded Christmas and Sankranthi periods, they argued that a December 12th release would give the film a better chance in theaters. They also believe that an earlier release would be strategically more advantageous given the current buzz surrounding the film.
Industry talk suggests that the makers are considering the Christmas weekend to capitalize on the holiday rush. Despite this, fans continue to tag the production house, 14 Reels Plus, urging them to consider December 12th.
Currently, the situation remains unclear. The team needs to consider several pending factors before finalizing the release date, and there is no confirmed update regarding the film’s status.
Akhanda 2 features Nandamuri Balakrishna, Samyuktha Menon, and Aadhi Pinisetty in lead roles. It is written and directed by Boyapati Srinu, produced by Ram Achanta and Gopi Achanta under 14 Reels Plus, and presented by M. Tejaswini Nandamuri. The music is composed by Thaman S.
