Aligarh: 10th class student gang raped in hotel

Aligarh: A Class 10 student was allegedly raped by four men in a hotel here. The police have arrested two people including the hotel owner and his relative. The administration has also sealed the hotel.

“The 15-year-old girl had gone missing from her home on Wednesday. Later, family members found her unconscious in a nearby hotel room,” Superintendent of Police (city) Shekhar Pathak said on Friday.

The girl’s family members have alleged that she was lured by an unknown person to a hotel room where she was gang-raped.

Based on the complaint, the police on Thursday registered an FIR against hotel owner Ved Prakash Sharma, his relative Neeraj Sharma and two unidentified people under relevant sections of the IPC and POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act.

“Efforts are being made to identify and arrest the other two accused in the case,” the officer said.
