Ambhora police arrest two brothers in armed robbery case after 150 km search

Maharashtra: Ambhora police have solved the case of a robbery involving weapons that occurred on the night of January 4th in Sarstewadgaon, Ashti tehsil. Following an intensive search operation spanning 150 km, police arrested two brothers. A team of 17 police officers and personnel conducted the operation.
The arrested suspects have been identified as Akshay Garman Chavan (23) and Rizwan Garman Chavan (20), residents of Sheri Budruk, Ashti tehsil.
The theft occurred early in the morning when the suspects broke into Gyanba Rajpure’s home, attacked family members, and fled with gold jewelry and cash. Assistant Police Inspector Mangesh Salve immediately launched an investigation, analyzing CCTV footage and technical data.
After confirming that the suspects were residents of Sheri village, Ashti tehsil, police surrounded their home and arrested them while they were sleeping on Tuesday morning.
