According to the information received, Janata Congress Chhattisgarh (J) has released the first list of its candidates. The party has announced the names of 16 candidates in the released list. In this list, the party has announced the names of candidates for many hot seats including Rajnandgaon, Bastar, Jagdalpur.
If we look at the hot seats of Chhattisgarh, JCCJ has fielded Shamsul Alam from Rajnandgaon. His direct contest will be between BJP candidate Raman Singh and Congress candidate Girish Dewangan. At the same time, Devendra Telam has been given a chance from Konta. Veteran Congress leader and Excise Minister of Bhupesh government, Kawasi Lakhma has been in control here for the last several elections. In such a situation, it will not be easy for Devendra Telam to win from here. JCCJ has expressed confidence in Shankar Netam on Kondagaon seat, from where Congress’s Mohan Markam is in the fray. If we look at Chitrakote seat, Bharat Kashyap from JCCJ and Deepak Baij from Congress will contest here.
