Amit Shah and JP Nadda expressed happiness over CBSE’s decision to introduce education in mother tongue

New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President JP Nadda expressed happiness over CBSE’s decision to introduce education in mother tongue and referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s resolution. Amit Shah, while replying to Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s tweet informing about CBSE’s decision, said, “The decision by CBSE to make education in Indian languages an option up to class 12, emphasizing on PM Modi’s resolution of education in mother tongue, is commendable. I congratulate Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for this.” Shah further said, “Not only will students get education in their mother tongue, their ability to think, reason and research will increase, and with this initiative, more and more students will now be able to get education through CBSE.” At the same time, BJP President JP Nadda, referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s emphasis on the importance of education in mother tongue, tweeted, “National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 has included Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s resolution to emphasize the importance of education in mother tongue. CBSE has recently issued a circular asking affiliated schools across the country to consider using Indian languages as medium of instruction up to the secondary level. It is scientifically proven that in the early years Cognitive learning happens fastest in the mother tongue in India. This is a big step towards making education more holistic and inclusive.” Expressing his gratitude to Prime Minister Modi for this decision, Nadda congratulated both the Prime Minister and the Education Minister for implementing this important reform.
