AMMK’s deputy general secretary has joined the DMK.

Tamil Nadu: Kadambur SVSP Manikkaraja, former Deputy General Secretary of the Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK), joined the DMK on Friday in the presence of Chief Minister M.K. Stalin.
Hours before joining the DMK, AMMK General Secretary TTV Dhinakaran had announced that Manikkaraja would be removed from his position as a core committee member for violating party rules.
The AMMK had joined the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), which includes parties like the AIADMK and BJP, last Wednesday.
Speaking to reporters about his decision to join the DMK, Manikkaraja said, “It took eight years of hard work to build the AMMK. However, AMMK officials have opposed the party leadership’s stance of reverting to its old status.”
