AMRITSAR: One person died due to electric shock in Khemkaran village

Tarn Taran: On Monday, a person died due to electric shock in village Chakwalia falling in Khemkaran area. The deceased was identified as Lakhbir Singh (50). Harjinder Singh, son of the deceased, told that his father had gone to the fields to irrigate the wheat crop. As soon as the deceased touched the switch of the tube well, he got electrocuted. He was taken to a private hospital in Bhikhiwind where doctors declared him brought dead. Police have started action under section 174 of CrPC.
