Narsapur: An incident in which 41 people fell ill after consuming a meal took place in Narsapur town. A haldi function was organized by the family of a man named Havej in Narsapur on Friday evening. 70 relatives and family members of Havej
participated in the program and had a great time.

Afterwards, everyone ate together at the banquet organized. Later, 41 of them were admitted to the Narsapur Area Hospital after vomiting and diarrhea. Three of them were children, and two of them were taken to Sangareddy Hospital for better treatment.

Narsapur Area Hospital Superintendent Pavani said that after midnight, a row of people came to the hospital with vomiting and diarrhea. Some of them were treated and sent home after their condition improved. The rest are undergoing treatment at the hospital, he said. After informing the district medical and health department officials, a food inspector went to the area where the function took place and also collected food samples.
