Andhra: Foreign naval ships docked at Visakhapatnam for IFR, Milan

Visakhapatnam: Warships from foreign navies of three Asian countries docked at the Visakhapatnam Naval Dockyard late Thursday evening to participate in the International Fleet Review (IFR), Exercise Milan, and the International City Parade.

Indian Navy officials formally welcomed the visiting ships, including the Maldives National Defence Force’s patrol vessel CGS Huravee, the Seychelles Coast Guard’s SCGS Zoroaster (P609), and the Vietnam People’s Navy’s frigate VPNS Dinh Tien Hoang.

Navy officials held preliminary discussions with the visiting navy representatives on the schedule of onshore and offshore activities related to the IFR and Exercise Milan.

The influx of foreign naval ships is expected to continue in the coming days. Officials said that approximately 90 ships, including 19 foreign navies, are expected to participate in these events.
