Andhra Pradesh: CM, TDP chief welcome Bharat Ratna award to Narasimha Rao
Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu and other state leaders on Friday welcomed the posthumous award of Bharat Ratna award to former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao.

Describing Rao as a son of the soil, he said the former Prime Minister was an eminent scholar, leader, economist, writer, politician, polyglot and humanitarian.
Naidu recalled Rao’s pioneering economic reforms that steered India through difficult times and set the country on the path to achieving greatness on the world stage.
Andhra Pradesh BJP chief D Purandeswari also welcomed the Bharat Ratna award to Rao and thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for announcing it.
