Andhra Pradesh is moving towards the ‘quantum era’: Shivraj Singh Chauhan

Amaravati: Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that Andhra Pradesh is moving towards the ‘quantum era’ and expressed hope that Amaravati will emerge as a great capital city in the future.

He said that while Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working towards making India a developed nation by 2047, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is taking initiatives to establish a healthy, prosperous, and happy Andhra Pradesh, aiming for a ‘Golden Andhra Pradesh’.

Addressing the ‘Good Governance Day’ celebrations organized by the state government, he said that the combination of PM Modi and Chandrababu Naidu will make the country number one.

He said, “To make Andhra Pradesh healthy, prosperous, and happy, under the leadership of Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji, the central government will leave no stone unturned. We will work shoulder to shoulder.”

Earlier, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu unveiled a statue of Atal Bihari Vajpayee at Venkatapalem in the Amaravati capital region on the occasion of Good Governance Day and the Atal Bihari Vajpayee centenary celebrations. Later, they planted saplings at the Vajpayee Memorial Park.

Speaking on the occasion, the Union Minister described Vajpayee as a great patriot and a man without enemies. He said that Vajpayee has left an indelible mark on Indian politics that will last for centuries.

He said, “Atal ji is our inspiration. I first heard Atal ji when I was studying in Bhopal. His words still resonate in my ears.”

He said that former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru had also recognized Vajpayee’s capabilities and predicted that Vajpayee would one day become Prime Minister.

He said that Vajpayee played a constructive role even while in the opposition and supported Indira Gandhi to protect the country’s interests. He said that Vajpayee demonstrated India’s strength through the Pokhran nuclear tests.

Chouhan said that the relationship between Vajpayee and Chandrababu Naidu was not just political, but a partnership of trust, vision, and development.

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu described Shivraj Singh Chouhan as a pragmatic politician who plants saplings daily to protect the environment. He said the government could develop the Vajpayee Memorial Park in Amaravati as a tribute to the sacrifices of the farmers in the capital region. BJP state president PVN Madhav, Union Minister Srinivas Varma, Pemmasani Chandrasekhar, Ministers Satyakumar Yadav, P. Narayana, and Kandula Durgesh addressed the gathering.

Earlier, Union Minister Chauhan met Chandrababu Naidu at his residence.

Chauhan posted on ‘X’, “We had a detailed discussion on key aspects of agriculture and rural development in the state, focusing on policy initiatives, infrastructure improvements, farmer welfare, and sustainable agricultural practices.”
