Andhra Pradesh News: 3 workers from Andhra Pradesh died in Kuwait fire tragedy

Vijayawada. Vijayawada: Three persons from Andhra Pradesh were killed in a fire that engulfed a six-storey building in Kuwait’s Mangaf area in the wee hours of Wednesday, claiming nearly 50 lives. The deceased have been identified as Tamada Lokanadham (31), Meesala Eashwar (45) and Milagi Satyanarayana (45), natives of Sompeta mandal of Srikakulam and Peravali mandal of East Godavari district. The first deceased Lokanadham, who had been working as a rolling operator helper in the NBTC organisation for six years, had returned to Kuwait on Tuesday-Wednesday afternoon after finishing his vacation from his hometown Sompeta. Victim Lokanadham fell asleep soon after reaching his work camp and died of suffocation in the fire that broke out in the building. Meanwhile, there has been a delay in registering Lokanadham’s death, as his details were entered in the camp’s entry list soon after his return from his native place.

The Indian Embassy in Kuwait confirmed the death of the second and third deceased Meesha Eshwar and Moleti Satyanarayana of Peravali in East Godavari district on Thursday night. The Indian Embassy confirmed that both the deceased were working as delivery boys in highway stores.

The death of Loknadham in the fire accident in Kuwait has led to mourning in Jinki Bhadra village of Sompeta. Union Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu is said to be coordinating with the Indian Embassy in Kuwait to bring back Loknadham’s body to his native place.

Meanwhile, Meesha Eshwar, along with his wife, daughter and son, had been working as a salesman in a highway supermarket in Kuwait for ten years. “Eshwar was scheduled to visit India to meet his family as his daughter’s marriage was confirmed. However, due to the high flight fare, Eshwar postponed his trip by four days,” villagers said.

Another deceased Moleti Satyanarayana is survived by his wife, son and parents. Satyanarayan had been working in Kuwait for the last ten years and died in a fire at a hospital on Thursday afternoon.
