Andhra Pradesh News: Will revive the Panchayat system
VIJAYAWADA. Vijayawada: Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan said he will work with strong will to revive the panchayat raj system which was completely destabilised by the previous YSRC government. He sought cooperation and suggestions from government employees to make the panchayat raj system in Andhra Pradesh the best in the country. “The government system was completely destroyed during the previous YSRC government. It is not an easy task to reorganise them. Though I will work with full dedication, I cannot accomplish it alone and I need your support,” Kalyan told leaders of the Panchayat Raj Employees Union who met him at his camp office on Tuesday. Pointing out that the previous government had intimidated the employees, the Deputy Chief Minister urged the employees to cooperate with the government in setting the systems right. “It is time for all of us to work together and ensure that people get all the services from the government,” he said. Reminding the employees that they are the backbone of the government, Kalyan assured them that he would take responsibility to solve all their problems. Apart from bringing the problems to my notice, the employee unions should suggest an amicable solution to the problem, Kalyan said. On the occasion, the employee union leaders submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Chief Minister about their various problems and urged him to resolve them. The employees urged the government to pay salary on the first of every month and immediately sanction all pending retirement benefits to the retired employees. They also urged the government to release GPF loan, surrender leave salary, medical reimbursement, all pending DA arrears and appoint 12th PRC Commissioner and adequate staff.
