Angry BJP leader Sadananda Gowda indicated that he will reveal his political move on March 20

Confirming that the Congress has sent him a message, an angry former Karnataka chief minister and BJP MP DV Sadananda Gowda on Tuesday said leaders of the saffron party have also contacted him and he will take a decision at the appropriate time.

Upset at not getting a ticket to contest re-election from Bengaluru North, the 71-year-old former Union minister said he planned to call a press meet tomorrow to “share everything”. “Congress people have asked me, also BJP, what decision has to be taken, I will take the decision at the appropriate time,” Gowda told reporters.

Asked if the BJP high command had contacted him, he said he would share everything tomorrow, “otherwise there will be nothing to say tomorrow.” Gowda, a former Karnataka BJP president, said on Monday that he would soon share his “inner feelings”.
Expressing his displeasure against not getting re-nomination and against some party leaders without taking names, he said, ‘There is nothing left to say that BJP is a different kind of party in Karnataka.’ The BJP shifted Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Shobha Karandlaje, currently representing the Udupi-Chikmagalur Lok Sabha constituency, to contest from Bengaluru North.

Gowda had earlier announced his retirement from electoral politics, but later backed out, saying he was under pressure to contest the elections again.
Meanwhile, Gowda, who hails from the Vokkaliga community, one of the major communities in the state, met leaders of the ‘State Vokkaliga Association’ on Tuesday.
“The state Vokkaligara association president and all its office-bearers had sought time to meet me, they wanted to talk to me, but I said I would come to meet them myself. They have shared some things with me. I don’t want to tell. ” Now things. I have called a press meet tomorrow, I will share all the matters there,” he said after the meeting.

State Vokkaligara Sangha president D Hanumanthaiah said the community stands behind Gowda, who has done good work in the government and the party.
Pointing to community leaders like DK Shivakumar, he said, “Why was he (Gowda) not given a ticket? Irrespective of the party, if they give less tickets to the community or ignore the community, we will fight. ” Congress not becoming the Chief Minister and BJP not giving tickets to Gowda, Pratap Simha and CT Ravi.
