Animal Second Friday Box Office: Ranbir Kapoor starrer creates all time record

Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and starring Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Trupti Dimri, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol, had a record-breaking second Friday at the box office, earning Rs 21-22 crore on its eighth day. These are the highest numbers that a film has registered in Hindi on the second Friday in India. The incredible catch guarantees that Animal is going to rake in over Rs 500 crore and what remains to be seen is how much more.

Unlike other big films this year, Animal had a traditional first week and thus its second Friday could be so big. Films like ‘Pathan’ and ‘Jawaan’ were delayed in the first week and thus had a low second Friday. Animal will have to make big steps to come close to the latter numbers, while based on box office trends it may look to surpass the former. It will be difficult to achieve collections after the third week as Donkey and Salaar will take over the reigns.
