Another slapping incident…BJP leader found in police station
Gorakhpur: On Tuesday, SSP put Inspector Anand Kumar, accused of slapping a BJP leader, in Khajni police station of Gorakhpur. SSP Dr. Gaurav Grover took action when the allegations were found true in the investigation.
On Tuesday afternoon, the BJP leader had accused the sub-inspector of slapping him in the police station over a land dispute. When BJP leaders reached the police station on receiving information about the incident, the atmosphere became heated. SP South Arun Kumar Singh had pacified the matter by assuring action. Former block president of Kisan Morcha Pawan Kumar Gaur, resident of Jaitpur, reached the police station with the complaint of land dispute in Nandapar of Khajani police station area. During the conversation there, Inspector Anand Kumar slapped Pawan. After getting information about this, a large number of BJP people gathered and started expressing their anger.
After receiving information about the gathering of BJP leaders at the police station, SP South Arun Kumar Singh reached there and somehow pacified the matter by assuring action against the inspector. The police issued challan to the people who were arguing for disturbing the peace. Late night SSP Dr. Gaurav Grover took strict action in this matter. He has ordered investigation by arresting the sub-inspector who slapped the BJP leader in the police station.
