Anurag Kashyap was adamant on perfecting Sunny’s laugh in ‘Kennedy’
Mumbai (IANS) | Actress Sunny Leone is making her Cannes Film Festival debut with Anurag Kashyap’s film ‘Kennedy’. The film follows the story of Kennedy, an insomniac former police officer who has been presumed dead for years. Sunny Leone plays an important role named Charlie in the film.
Talking about her character, the actress said: It is a complex character. The thing she hides the most is laughter. I believe she is a woman who is stuck in two different worlds, the one she wants to live in and the one she is stuck in. I really enjoyed playing this character. She is trying her best to be as strong as possible in every moment.
Leone’s laugh is very special in the film. He told that Kashyap was adamant to match my laugh with my character.
The actress told Variety: It’s something I’ve never done before, so I had a lot of practice. I practiced driving, I practiced in front of my family, my kids, my husband, my friends. I practiced laughing like Charlie on the sets in between shooting a song or something.
So, when I reached the sets, it was out of my system, it was not something I felt weird about, it was just part of my character.
