AP Tripathi missing, EOW team sitting outside the house
Raipur. ACB-EOW conducted raids in many districts including the capital Bilaspur, Durg on Sunday morning. A team of 100 ACB EOW officers and police personnel are raiding the locations of 13 warrants issued in the FIR registered in the liquor scam. This raid has been carried out in continuation of the liquor scam of Rs 6,000 crore conducted by ED last year.
Teams of ACB EOW at the locations of Bhatia Distillery located in Bilaspur Sargaon, Welcome Distillery located in Kota, Kedia Distillery located in Kumhari Durg, Anwar Dhebar located in Raipur, former CS Vivek Dhand, former Industry Director Anil Tuteja, Excise Officer Saurabh Bakshi, Ashok Singh, Arvind Singh. Teams are investigating. The names of all these are also included in the ED charge sheet. In this, Tuteja, Tripathi and Dhebar were said to be the masterminds of this scam. All the rest have been associates in this ring.
Apart from these, EOW-ACB has also raided the house of Swarn Bhoomi resident Vaibhav Aggarwal alias (Shibu), Siddharth Singhania. Shibu was a partner in a firm that provided placement personnel for liquor shops. He has been out for some time. His house was locked. This firm of Shibu is said to be that of the wife of AP Tripathi, an ITS officer recently released on bail and former MD of Liquor Corporation. EOW had conducted a thorough review of the FIR by holding a meeting with law officers two days ago. EOW had taken a search warrant from the court of the special judge yesterday itself. Since then the team was kept on alert. EOW sources said that complete information will be given by late evening.
Sources said that AP Tripathi is absconding after being released on bail last week. When the EOW team reached his house this morning, the house was closed. The team is sitting outside his house. At the same time, the location of an officer who was missing in Bilaspur division after getting relief from the Supreme Court has been found. EOW team is verifying.
