Apple launches iOS 17.3 and iPadOS 17.3 for supported devices
Apple has launched iOS 17.3 along with iPadOS 17.3 for supported Apple devices worldwide. The major update that Apple brought is the new Stolen Device Protection feature for their iPhones. This adds an extra layer to the security of your Apple device. Other updates include improved bug fixes, new Unity lock screen wallpapers, collaborative playlists, and more. The most important feature in Apple iOS 17.3 update is the Stolen Device Protection feature for iPhones. When the feature is activated, stolen device protection requires Face ID or Touch ID authentication for many tasks. These functions include saving actions to Apple Cash and Wallet, turning off Lost Mode, erasing content, viewing stored passwords, etc. Important security functions require the user to unlock the smartphone twice via Face ID or Touch ID.
There is a one-hour waiting period for the user between biometric authentications. Security actions include changing the Apple ID password, updating Apple ID security settings, turning off Stolen Device Protection, changing the iPhone password.
