Application for Rabi crop insurance till January 1

Raipur. Farmers can now apply till January 1, 2024 for crop insurance for the Rabi year 2023-24 under the Pradhan Mantri Crop Insurance Scheme and the Reorganized Weather Based Crop Insurance Scheme. According to the order issued today by the Agriculture Department, the last date for getting insurance of Rabi crops under both the above insurance schemes was fixed as 31 December 2023, but due to 31 December being a public holiday, Sunday, the date to apply for insurance was extended by one day to 01. It has been postponed to January 2024.
