Appointment of 5 judicial magistrates, registrar gave them important rights

Bilaspur: According to the new law implemented across the country from July 1, the process of registering cases in police stations has started. Under the new law, the cases reaching the courts from the police stations are now being heard under the new provisions. Chhattisgarh High Court Registrar General Balram Prasad has issued a notification in this regard, in which five judicial magistrates of Bilaspur District Court have been given the right to prosecute.

Chhattisgarh High Court The notification issued states that exercising the powers conferred under clause (b) of subsection (1) of section 283 of the Indian Civil Defense Code, 2023, the Chhattisgarh High Court has specifically empowered the Judicial Magistrate First Class to conduct summary prosecution. This right will be in relation to all types of crimes. In this list, Aishwarya Dewan, Konika Yadav, Ashish Kumar Chandel, Parth Dubey, and Rashmi Mishra have been appointed as Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC). These magistrates will hear and decide cases filed under the new law in Bilaspur district.

Under Section 12 of the Chhattisgarh Civil Courts Act, 1958, the Chhattisgarh High Court has assigned additional work to two judicial officers in addition to their charge. Junior Division Civil Judge Diksha Deshlahare of Balodabazar has also been assigned charge in Simga in the first and second week of the month, until Yogita Jangde returns from her child care leave. Similarly, Junior Division First Civil Judge Aman Tigga of Baikunthpur has been assigned charge in Manendragarh until Aastha Yadav returns from maternity leave.
