‘Arya 3’ actor Vikas Kumar praised Ram Madhvani’s direction
Mumbai : Actor Vikas Kumar, who plays ACP Khan in the crime thriller drama ‘Arya’ season 3, said the show’s producer and co-director Ram Madhvani has a different kind of style, and I am enjoying his way of directing.
Elaborating about it, Vikas said, “I enjoy Ram Madhvani’s style of direction. It takes a long time, it’s almost like theatre. It’s easy to transition from one emotion to another because there are no shortcuts or different shots.”
He shared, “We do a whole sequence which may be challenging for some people but I enjoy it. It can be challenging to have these googlies surprise you at the last minute that you wouldn’t even know existed, they just pop into view.”
Vikas said, “You can choose whether you react to them or not, and that’s when the magic happens. Moments like this add vibrancy to the scene. I remember a scene in season one where we learn that ACP Khan lives with a man. It was a moment full of spontaneous scenes and everyone played it beautifully.”
The show is headlined by actress Sushmita Sen, who plays the lead character Arya Sareen. In the third season, Arya sets her sights on drug supply and transportation, but is stopped by Ila Arun, who is herself involved in the operation.
The third season of ‘Arya’ produced by Ram Madhvani will air on Disney Plus Hotstar from November 3.
