Asaduddin Owaisi hit back at Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sharma’s remarks

Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Friday night took a jibe at Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for blaming Muslim vendors for the rising prices of vegetables. He said, perhaps he also blames his personal failures on “Miya Bhai”. Assam CM on Friday courted a major controversy by claiming that Muslim vegetable vendors were raising the prices of vegetables, and that if “Assamese people” were to sell vegetables, they would never charge more than “their Assamese people”.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma reportedly said, “Who are they who have increased the price of vegetables so much? They are Miya traders, who are selling vegetables at a higher price.” In the local language, ‘Miya’ refers to Bengali-speaking Muslims who live in Assam but are believed to have originally come from Bangladesh. The Chief Minister of Assam has often accused the Miya community of trying to distort the Assamese culture and language.
According to a BBC report, he further said, “Mia traders in Guwahati are charging high prices for vegetables from Assamese people, while the prices of vegetables in villages are low. If Assamese traders were selling vegetables today, they would never have been able to sell their Assamese products.” Do not charge more from the people.All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) President Owaisi hit back at the Assam CM in this matter.
He said, “There is a mandali (group) in the country who blames Miya ji even for not giving buffalo milk or chicken eggs in their house, perhaps they even blame Miya Bhai for their ‘personal’ failures.” Let’s cover.” The AIMIM chief also took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying that there is a deep friendship going on between the PM and foreign Muslims. “Get things done by demanding tomatoes, spinach, potatoes etc.” He also quipped while referring to the PM’s recent visits to Muslim-majority countries.
