ASI and home guard sexually exploited a minor on the pretext of marriage

odisha: An allegation of rape of a minor has been filed against a police ASI and home guard. According to reports, this incident took place in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha. It is alleged that both the ASI and the HME guard repeatedly raped the minor on the pretext of marriage.

A written charge has been filed against the ASI identified as Anand Majhi in this regard. He had reportedly hired the minor girl to take care of his son and daughter after the death of his wife.

Along with recording the statement of the minor, medical examination of accused Anand Majhi was conducted at Rairangpur Hospital.

Let us tell you here that later the ASI was arrested under the POCSO Act and the case was tried in the POCSO court at Baripada in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha.

Earlier, the home guard of Jamda police station was arrested on the charges of molesting a minor at the behest of a Tantrik. Recently, four accused have been sentenced to 20 years in jail in the gang rape case that took place in Sundergarh district of Odisha.
