ASI asked for 15 days time to submit report in Gyanvapi case
Varanasi. The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has sought 15 more days’ time to submit the survey report of the Gyanvapi complex to the court.
On July 21, the court of District Judge Dr. Ajay Krishna Vishwesh had ordered the ASI to survey the Gyanvapi complex (except the sealed toilet). The ASI team started the survey work from July 24.
On November 2, the ASI told the court that the survey had been completed. 15 more days are required to prepare the report. The court ordered to file the survey report by November 17.
Central government’s government advocate Amit Srivastava said that the Varanasi district court had given time of November 17 to submit the survey report. But, since the technical report used in the survey has not yet arrived, the ASI has filed an application in the District Judge’s court, demanding 15 more days to submit the report before the court. Earlier, ASI had to submit the report by October 6. But, later he was instructed to submit it by November 3.
