ASI Sandeep Lathar’s widow to get job as Maths teacher in MDU campus school
Haryana: The widow of the late Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Sandeep Kumar Lather will be appointed as a Maths teacher on compassionate grounds at the campus school of Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak.
The Chief Secretary has directed the Additional Chief Secretary of the Higher Education Department to direct the Registrar of MDU to issue a formal appointment letter in favor of Santosh Kumari to the post of PGT (Maths) after verifying the original certificates. The decision to appoint her was taken at the state government’s cabinet meeting on January 1. The cabinet approved the compassionate appointment of Santosh Kumari, the widow of the late ASI Sandeep Kumar Lather, by relaxing the relevant provisions of the Haryana Civil Services (Compassionate Financial Assistance or Appointment) Rules, 2019, and treating it as a special case.
The communication further stated that since the deceased employee was working in the police department, any future issues, questions, or clarifications related to the case can be raised with the police department.
Copies of the letter have also been sent to the Home Department and the concerned Welfare Officer to assist in completing the remaining formalities. Notably, ASI Sandeep Lather, posted in the Cyber Cell, died by suicide on October 14 in Ladhhot village.
